Officials from IMC Companies, the nation’s largest marine drayage company, and Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee cut the white ribbon Wednesday to celebrate the grand opening of IMC’s new corporate headquarters in Collierville.
“I started with the company 25 years ago. The pay here is good. I’ve raised three children on it. I am from Arkansas and they have given me dedicated routes in Arkansas, so I wake up at home every day and go to bed at home every night too. I have always tried to do what’s asked of me as a driver, and at Intermodal Cartage, I’ve always been rewarded for that effort.”
“I’ve worked with some of the best people here at IMCG – from the office staff to the other drivers. The level of professionalism at this company is steps ahead of anyone else I’ve seen or worked for.”
“I’ve enjoyed my time with IMCG. I was fortunate to have a good dispatcher who was good to me. It helped me have a positive attitude, and I’ve made the most of it. I’ve really enjoyed the people at IMCG. They encouraged me to succeed.”
“When you’ve worked as long as I have for the same company, your routine is second nature. And, when you have a wife and grandson to come home to, you appreciate the flexibility that IMC Companies provides, allowing me to spend quality time with them at the end of each day.”
“I’ve been at IMCG for a long time and I have so much freedom as an owner operator. Everyday I go from my family at home to my work family and then back to my real family. I’m so glad I can be home daily and IMCG makes that happen.”
